NB Floorsanding are experts in floor sanding. A floor sanding is often done instead of replacing the floor as sanding the floor can give it a new lease of life. However, the floor needs to be treated after being sanded, which is also something we can help with. Among other things, we offer floor treatment with varnish, lye or oil.
When we carry out a floor sanding, we start with a coarse sandpaper, typically a 36–40 grit sandpaper, followed by a 60 grit sandpaper, then an 80 grit sandpaper and finally a 120 grit sandpaper. After completing the floor sanding, we polish the floor to give it a smoother surface and a much nicer finish. We also recommended that you sand the doorstep as this gives a much nicer overall result.
You can either call us or contact us directly through this website, where you have the opportunity to describe the job and we can send you a non-binding offer for a floor service via email.
LEARN MORE ABOUT FLOOR SANDING
A floor sanding depends on the condition of the floor and the type of wood, and whether it is parquet flooring or wooden flooring. If the wooden floor is really worn or one or more floor sandings have previously been carried out, there is a risk that the wear layer on your floor is no longer sufficiently thick. Therefore, make sure that you do not penetrate through the wear layer and thus risk reducing the load capacity and also the risk that the wood, in extreme cases, will split when stepped on.
We use the best floor treatment products on the market and have highly experienced employees.
We discourage all inexperienced individuals from performing floor sanding as you risk causing more harm than good – and it can be an expensive lesson if you require a completely new floor for the sake of saving a bit of money by doing it yourself.
